Old Song...New Mix

No big long dumb drawn out explanation as to why I chose this song, just that it has a way of getting stuck in your head after one little line.
Originally this song was by Cheap Trick, but the most recent remix (there have been too many to count) is by a new-ish band named KSM.

So with out further a-do...

par-TAY!

So this last week me, Al and a few other people spent 5 days in NYC...and I LOVED it!!! I've decided that is where I wanna live when I grow up.
Anyways, this tune was stuck in my head all week, and the only line Al could remember was "who's that chick that's rockin kicks, she's gotta be from outta town." Needless to say it got real annoying, real fast.
But once we got the whole song, we fell in love all over again! I don't know how you can listen to it and not wave your hands in the air?!
I know there was alot of hype over the performance of this song at the N Kids Choice Awards, but either way...it rocks, just like Miley!

My New Canadian Music

Alright, so I LOVE Canada! Which happens to be where this artist is from...Fefe Dobson.
This Canadian native has been in the music industry since she was 15 years old. Now at age 23 she owns her own business, is still recording for herself, and has also written songs for other artists like Miley Cyrus.
What impresses me the most about Fefe is where she came from. Being 1 of 4 kids, of which nones of them had the same father, she also dealt with being bi-racial (which wasn't accepted much in Canada), and after all that she still rights AWESOME music, with a fun life loving beat.

Fefe Dobson "I Want You"

So here is a song a little less known by the long time band Lifehouse. It is off of their more recent album "Who We Are" and it is the very last song on the CD. I have played it so many times, the entire track is scratched (but yet none of the other ones on it are).
Anyways, this song is kinda long, kinda slow, and maybe even kinda repetitive...but I think it is the most beautiful thing I have heard in both lyrics, and with the unique oceanic vibes they give off.
One of things I love most about this song is that I can place myself in it...as both the "I" and the "You". It helps me to know that although I have gone through some pretty crazy times in my life, I can always rise above it in the end, by depending upon myself.

Lifehoust "Storm"

How long have I been in this storm?
/ so overwhelmed by the ocean's
shapeless form / water's getting
harder to tread / with the waves
crashing over my head

If I could just see you / everything
would be alright / if I'd see you /
this darkness would turn to light

And I will walk on water / and you
will catch me if I fall / and I will
get lost into your eyes / I know
everything will be alright / I know
everything is alright

I know you didn't bring me out
here to drown / so why am I ten
feet under and upside down /
barely surviving had become my
purpose / because I'm so used to
living underneat the surface

If I could just see you / everything
would be all right / if I'd see you /
this darkness would turn to light

And I will walk on wter / and you
will catch me if I fall / and I will
get lost into your eyes / I know
everything will be alright / I know
everything is alright

Even I Can Like Country Music

So here is the lastest from me...
Those of you who know, I like pretty much any music EXCEPT country and folk crap. But I don't care who you are or what kind of music you like, I don't know anyone who wouldn't think this song is the cutest thing ever! The words just get stuck in my head, and I start dreaming about having that same cute moment.
So here it is, Taylor Swfit "You Belong With Me"

(no matter what mood I'm in - even a guy hating one - this song makes me smile everytime!)

I'm "THAT" Girl

Alrighty, so I realize its been awhile. Obviously I've been a little out of touch with things lately...
ANYWAYS, I don't know if this song is like way old or new, but I just recently heard it for the first time I think on August 21, 2009...sometime in the 3 o'clock hour if I remember correctly. Either way, whatever era this song came to life is no matter, because it plain ROCKS! It's SO catchy, and just gets stuck up in your head until you fall in love with it!

Ladies and any gentlemen that happen to stumble across this blog...I give you..."She's a Genius" by JET!!! (whoop whoop)

Layne's Love

This is SO not one of my favorite songs...but for some dang reason it's been stuck in my head for a good solid 24 hours at least!
I'm not sure if it's just cuz the song decided to plant itself in my head, or because I'm going though "Layne Withdrawals"...either way, here ya go.
